I had a picture with Maja Salvador and Santino, both casts of May Bukas Pa. They are having their regular taping in our place. I am also with our Parish Priest and Tita Carina. They are just having a pictorial when we took this picture. I am not watching the show but my parents are watching it. Somehow I know the flow of the story because they often narrate it every morning (it is as if they didnt watch it both). Hehe.. Anyways..Im just busy collecting celebrity pictures. You know who I am here right? I'm the one in black!

Missing Dhie...

It takes a lot of breathless moments whenever I am with him; I am happy.

It also feels the same whenever i am far with him; But I am sad.

I find myself wandering Of the memories of being with him And of the times he makes my heart laughs.

I find myself listening Of the songs he serenaded And of the lullabies played.

I find myself singing Of the same music he laid And of the rhythm to my life he gave.

I find myself worrying Of how he is doing And of what he is feeling.

I find myself missing him Of his presence and of the ways he warms my heart.

But still... I find myself trusting Of the words he uttered And of the promised he gave.

And still... I find myself loving him more Of the way he enlightened my life And of the way he completes my existence.

PanDASAL, (a Food of Soul)

Everyone has their own stories and experiences in life. Many may be happy while others not. Many may feel blessed while others feel ill-fated. Many may have success while others have failures. The story of life has different settings, moods, climax and endings. But while finding the various angles and plots of it, there you will see that there is one thing in common-that is life.

Everyone has a life to live. Life is like a child to feed in order to grow; in order to nourish; and in order to fill in the purpose of its existence. A child, in order to grow, nourish and served its purpose must be fed with something not only needed by the physical body but of its spiritual facet—that is prayer. Aquinas, the Angelic Doctor, stated that it is due to the soul that the body is capable of having life. And thus man must feed his soul with prayers.

God, the Almighty, invites us to reclaim and experience birthright through prayer. It is simple conversation with Him, a very simple way on reaching him. Through prayers we know how to fully commit ourselves to Him. This is done in various ways. Some prays in silence, stillness, and the use of sacred name and scriptures. God yearns to speak with us in the silence. Praying comes in various ways but it boils out in one common purpose, to help us hear the whisper of God. In life, man can be so busy talking and doing his daily tasks and he fails to listen to the still small voice. Without stillness and quiet, we fail to hear the Whisper.

When God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, He wanted man to learn that even His Son, who seats beside Him, also prays. Christ is a perfect contemplative in prayer. Everyone should remember that Christ did not teach His disciples to preach, but he taught them how to pray. One important scenario in Christ’s journey to human salvation is the emotional and symbolic scenes in the garden of Gethsemane which contributed a powerful influence on Christians of all ages. This merely reminds man that even Christ recognizes the power of prayer; its mightiness in feeding oneself and in nourishing one’s soul.

God knows what man’s wants and needs even before praying. The All-Knowing God knows everything; and He even inscribed plans in our lives. If this is so, one may ask; why there is a need for a prayer? It is because through prayers, we learn how to trust, to have faith and to continue. Prayer empowers, heals and changes one’s perspective in life. It may turn negative views to positive. It guides and helps man as he continues his journey in life. It is also the most effective means in strengthening our bond with God.

Prayer has to do with the entire man. One must fully understand the real concept of praying and how it greatly affects human life and dispositions. Prayer, like any other thing that exists has its purpose.

It is the origin of trust, faith and love. In one story of life, a man who has experienced betrayal and lost finds no reason to continue. The evil of human greediness and the evil of the society had taught him to gain hatred in his heart. He almost experienced death while alive. Yet, the cruelness and the bitterness of his experiences didn’t teach him to stop even though he reached the agony of sorrow. The only secret he had was prayer. Through prayer he learned how to trust again; to commit to his faith, and to live life with love. Through prayers, he finds the reflection of God and hears His voice. As what Mother Theresa said, ‘My secret is simple. I pray”

Many would have questioned the significance of praying. Praying isn’t only done by religious persons and one must not have false understanding that praying is only done by those devouts. Everyone must realize that prayer is not just any ritual done but it is a food that nourishes one’s soul that revitalizes the existence of man. Prayer is soul food.

There could never be other food as powerful as prayer. Like the bread that feeds the human body, a prayer feeds the human soul; nourishes and makes it glow. If man would only live with God, he will find a bountiful table of food that will feed his soul.

how will i describe it?

It is my first time to go home commuting with buses from my GS class. Its my second time this day. Yesterday, is fine though somewhat challenging and tragic as well. But well, its ok. I've learned new ways on how to be there in UST . Today, is also fine asdie from it took me so long waiting for the bus.but still I arrived home safe and sound.what made it difficult for me is that this day, i was too tired coz I attended a seminar the whole day and proceed to my class afterwards. I arrived home at 11pm. Anyways, arriving like this time is not new to me, it is just that, the new thing here is i came from the city. Anyways, i had my seminar this day about ENHANCING MATHEMATICS TEACHERS' PEDAGOGICAL CONTENT KNOWLEDGE. It is nice and i've learned something from it. I've learned new ways and techniques on how to teach students. Anyways, that it for now. I have to sleep coz I have my class tomorrow at 8am and i have to leave here early. Anyways, it is nice meeting a new friend named JC, from the Philippine Normal University. He attended the seminar also and it so happened that we were in a same group when we had the activity.. Thansk for the nice company.

21 years and 11 months!

One month before my birthday! Do I look excited? Honestly I am not.But as practiced I am counting the days a month before my birthday. I used to do it since I am still a kid.

Why am I not excited? I have no plan this year. I have no plan 0f cooking anything though my mother is insisting! (Kahit konti lang para maging masaya birthday mo, as she often agrues.) But the root of this is that, Im in the point of COST CUTTING!

Cost-cut because I have no job as of now. how much I have now should be budgeted properly. And house expences are no joke! definitely.

Anyways, I actually have a birthday lists here but I will consider having these when I have my new job! I hope it is sooner!

I want to have new sets of clothes definitely formal clothes which I will use for my future job. but again. cost cut here.

I want to have new teddy bear!huhu...its my collection ryt?

I want to make up with my room.. So i'll be convenient.

I want to have more money to buy my things.But money means hardwork! I have to work for it! hai!

I want to receive surprises. But i'll find ways to surprise myself!!hahaha..how is that kaya?hehehe... josh surprise!

I want to buy something for myself...something precious...kaya lang since precious cxa..diko cxa mabibili!

I want to have my money back..everyone who had borrowed me..huhu..th very reason why I find it hard to sustain my family needs.

One of my biggest birthday wishes is to be able to finish my school..but i think it wont happen.hai..huhu...

Another is to finally have a job.

But the most important thing here is to spend my birthday with my family. my mama and papa, with my lola, friends and dhie, if possible (pero imposible ata un)Just for them to remember me on this day means a lot to me.

As everyone knows, and hope everyone knew it, I am not a materialistic person. I want so much in life but i dont demand coz i know if these will not be given to me.. sooner when I am capable of having these, i can provide them myself. it just needs a lot of time and patience packed with my determined goal and passion for success!

anyways here are my birthday lists! Im turning 22 now, and thank God for giving my 22 years of love, hope, success and of course LIFE!

NEVER THAT EASY

Finding and fixing for the future is never that easy. To find job that will fit and hire you as well is a hard task.Especially nowadays, it is hard to find job. It is hard to find that will fit your qualificatons and will also provide your needs, and more as well. For some years, I wasnt able to find one that will hire me permanently or one that will fit your needs too. I hope this year will be a lucky year for me. I am praying,. I have faith. I am searching. And hope sooner, I'll finally have my so called job.

Community Leaders: Community Heroes

In a community where there is rhythm and harmony founds a unified version of music. It is lived by people who have in one way or another shared a common interest. It binds everyone to achieve every little interest to a bigger perspective. Building the society with a greater force and idealism goes along the complicated way of leadership. By joining each hand, they can fulfill and address their objectives. But all can never be materialized without a man who stands for everyone. He is a person whose will is to serve and to enliven the organization’s mission.

A heart for others and for service is not always common to everyone. It is something possessed by a person with vast dedication and boundless leadership to serve the community. Moreover, not everyone has given privileges to share his life and extends his time giving community service because not everyone possesses good leadership qualities.

What makes of a community leader?

A community leader creates an atmosphere of love, service and enthusiasm. All packed as one, he can make a difference from where and what he stands for. He is the one who leads the ships. He gives opportunities of change which anchors his members forward towards their main goal. His qualities are also synonymous in how his organization will work and how it will succeed.

Mostly, it is in the leader which infers and spells how simple to complex things will flow within and outside the group. Though everything doesn’t lie on him, but the values and disposition of the leader matters most especially on how he can make things and uncertainties possible and achievable.

A good leader knows how to communicate with other people even without saying words. He sets standards for others to meet as he led the group by example. Most important to a leader is to live by his leadership principle more on how he implements his rules and plans as well.

He always places his feet in the interest of the group for this is what he works for. He knows exactly by heart what the group aims. He must be a leader with greater faith of achieving success particularly the organization and each member of the group. This is because the leader must always put his concern for the best interests of his organization.

Why community organizations?

Community is the dwelling place of unified interest given by each constituent. Aiming for growth and development of community, community organizations are born. They work for progress in any aspect of the community in order to help in any possible way to the group and to its member, in particular.

Through community groups and organizations, ideals and aspirations are being worked and achieved. It deals with what is common among the group; that is their interests and goals. Community organization lays certain aim which lives beyond its existence. It continuously grows as its spirit stands the group. Everything comes and lives with the service and dedication of a leader.

Various community organizations such as non-profit organizations, town organizations and other organizations boil down into one common goal-to help the community where they belong. Furthermore, their services are not always limited to their community but instead follow their tenet of “serving people.”

These groups are combined with responsible citizens who work hard as an efficient team in a real spirit of brotherhood and united in purpose. Being always enthusiastic in finding ways to help others and raise money for their projects, these groups are embraced with committed people in building a brighter future for the community.

These community organizations also provide voluntary services through community involvement; such organizations entrenched on pure public service. The volunteerism gives no compensation but theirs is the satisfaction they get as they successfully assist the needy. There are many who had proven a lot in serving people such as the head of non-profit organization or the non-governmental organizations (NGOs), officers of the town organization and more like groups who extended their personal time for the sake of serving.

It is more than worthy enough to acknowledge outstanding and dedicated leaders who had offer their precious time in the development of his organization and the community. It is the due time to unfold their inspiring and immeasurable value of unselfish well-being.

Like the stars you are far, but the your distance never hindered you to give me light. Persevered.

Like the moon, you stay with me throughout the coldness and darkness of the night, agaisnt fears, against odds. Patient.

Like the sun, you give me light and guide me in everything I do. Determined.

Like the clouds, you were high, you were once cold, but you have came down through fogs, through rain, to reach and to feel my warmth. Humble.

Like them, a commitment to your sky, you give. Like the star, the moon and the sun, no matter what, against the odds, you will never leave your sky. And like the clouds though went down, you will still go back and be with your sky. Like them, you have a promise. Committed.

Raining Before the Break of Dawn

Raining, that is how her life runs now. She was left alone in an open field with nothing to haven her. Tiny drops of rain suddenly turned to bigger drops which make her body deeply shiver. She tried to embrace herself to give warm to her body but seems to be useless because winds become colder. Lately, she found herself to be awfully weak.

How the blow of wind stiffens her body totally makes her paralyze. She can’t move. She can’t feel. She can’t think. Everything is entirely controlled by the situation. She is liked being imprisoned to what is happening to her. Pity she is for no one ever noticed her in the cold, wet and weakening state.

“Angel, I will love you all my life. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. You will be the only girl in my life…I promise.”

These are the words that linger in her mind. Words promised. Words she believed. Words that made her life complete. But like any promises, they were made to be broken. Yes, deeply broken not just her heart but mostly her whole life.

She gave trust. She laid faith. She gave love. She offered life.

All are broken into pieces. Her heart is thoroughly wounded. She bleeds. She mourns. She cries. Pains cover and suffocate her. How hard does she feel now? Terribly hurt.

“I am the man who will fight for your honor. I’ll be the hero you’re dreaming of…”

She sings to temporally forget her coldness. How promising the song goes. It was sung to her. No, it was dedicated to her. Again, it is a promise. Broken.

It is still raining when the heaven turns black. It’s evening. She is walking and searching her way home. She is lost. Everything is black. There is no light. In vain- there she found herself.

“Anyone can help me leave this place?! Give me your hand so I can hold. I can’t see anything. Please help me. I am tired and weak…!” She heard herself shouting but turns to fade into whispers. Whispers… then nothing at all.

She never knew how long she had waited. But one thing is sure. Every second is a misery. Every minute weakens her. Every hour kills her. Every day spells death. She walks in bare feet. She journeys without path.

Suddenly, someone tried to reach her hand. She saw light. She found hope.

“Come, hold me. Let me hold your hand and lead your way. Let me pick your broken pieces. Let me heal your wounds. Let me enter your life.” Here, a knight in armor came to rescue her.

She wanted to come, to hold and to trust. But her past traumatized her. Fears were counted as raindrops.

With determination, he convinced her to come. “I will hold you. I promise.”

“Again, a promise,” she said. “I don want to believe in promises now. They are like roses with thorns which make me fall with their beauty but when I come to hold, their thorns prick me.”

“I know you’ve been hurt. But don’t be stuck with your pains. How will you heal when you don’t want to set free of your self with you” he answered.

After this conversation, time ran without a clue of what fate she will have with this stranger. He insisted with what he wants to happen- to make her happy.

Days passed, she found her self being medicated with his care and love. She learned how to smile again. She thanked him instead.

“Thank you for coming into my life. Thank you for saving me from darkness; for lifting me up from vain.”

She is thankful and happy for he had found someone to come home. On their way home, they hold hands. But suddenly he took away his hand.

He said, “Let me go. I came not to fully bring you home but just to lift you from darkness. Now you saw the light, please learn how to go home in your own. I’m leaving you. I existed not to be with you forever, but to momentarily shine your world. Please understand that things on earth are just temporary. And so I am.”

“You told me you love me. You said you’ll never go.” She whispered in her weak hoarse voice.

She never knew how to conceal her pains. Rain poured into her life once more.

“I have to tell you…I still love you, but forgive me for I am not brave enough to face it. Don’t cry, I don’t want you crying…” he said and finally leave her.

Her life is raining again. Why does fate play her heart?

“I hold on to someone to bring back what was lost but later to realize that it will just make me completely drown,” she faint as she kneel and cry.

Her life is still raining and remains in darkness stumbling the dimness of the cold gloomy night.

She is still scouting the pot of gold placed at the end of the rainbow, said to exist after the rain. She stays unaided but keeps battling the open field. Even how tough life may offer her, her heart will not stop showering love. Though believing made her suffer, she still holds her faith. She knew, at the end of the night, there shines a new morning.

See her now… she still cries. Watch her how tears fall from her eyes. It only shows her angst. Hold on to her for she is just waiting until the rain stop before the break of dawn.

This is a story written few years back. And I would just like to share it with April. But definitely, I 've passed through the weakening coldness of night and the shivering rain. Someone embraced me with warmth and sheltered me from harm. Some one who have loved and still loving me for who I am, accepted my past and present. Someone who is willing to live with me forever. He is someone who turned a new chapter in this written page of my life.

Valentine's Day is Worth Celebrating

Love is my reason why I keep on living, No matter how many times it had killed me; Why I keep on striving and remain believing No matter how much it had ruined me.

Love is a life that gives life to my faded life; The fire that keeps burning in my very heart; The river that keeps me flowing even drought comes.

Its mystery always reigns but remains undefined. It is the only reason why I can still say: Life is still worth living.

…In life I have found so many reasons to surrender, But with you, I found the best reason to conquer, With your tender love and care I know I’ve a lot to share.

Heart’s day reminds me of the love you’ve given me, Of the friendship you’ve shared with me, Of the words you’ve told me Of everything you’ve done for me.

Everything is well and greatly fills my heart And further made me realized, Valentine’s Day is worth celebrating…with you.

Nine

This poem was made last October 31, 2007 and this is one of my favorite poems.It simply tells everyone what my heart can offer. I used to relate the planets of the solar system as a symbol of love, something you can offer to your love one. So sad that Pluto is not already a planet but only a planetoids now.But I still used include it as one of the planets coz I like how it represents distance. Nine, originally entitled nine planets, is something which tells everyone that every creation in the universe has a deep meaning that we have to value. everything can represent another if only we will go beyond their essence. I hope you will enjoy how I offered my love with the use of these mysterious creation of God, planets.

I’ll offer thee the burning Mercury My passion which lives patiently Amidst the firing cruelty Of surroundings visible infidelity.

I’ll take thee in the loveliness of Venus A world of beauty, I’ll introduce Love and charm will come to fuse And they will guide thee in life’s cruise.

Business affects almost all aspects of life. Products and services provided by these businesses are essential to everyone’s needs and interests.

They play a vital role not only in a person but to the society as a whole. Since businesses are economic unit of the society, they assist the government in developing the economy of the country. As they grow, more opportunities are given, more jobs are created and more people are hired as workers. And most important is, they provide the necessary and desired needs of the people and community.

Business comprises ideals and aspirations which are being worked to achieve their targets. Working with a greater force and idealism goes along the complicated way of leadership.

Kudos to Business Leaders

In an advance world where uncertainties always run in any business, success doesn’t only takes a single snap of fingers to achieve it. Success is a fruit of hard work, dedication and faith by the group of people who works with unified goal. Today when the growth and development of a community primarily lies in the heart of the business, business enterprises must always been regarded as one of the important element of the society.

Systematize and strategic management is important to any business but success of a business goes beyond leadership. Leadership which includes more than just managerial qualities but essential qualities such as integrity, honesty, humility, courage, commitment, sincerity, passion, confidence, positivity, wisdom, determination, compassion and sensitivity. That is why, many can work but not everyone can lead.

Leading a group and the business as a whole is not like sailing without compass. Directions over a certain goal must need an instrument to be guided accordingly. All can never be materialized without a man who stands for everyone. Like a ship in an ocean, business needs a captain who is knowledgeable, systematic, well-rounded and dedicated. It will sink the moment the foundation becomes weak. He must be a person whose will is to serve, to manage and to enliven the business’s mission.

Business leader whose commitment and service are exemplary definitely constitutes to the progress of the business. He selflessly works in harmony for the sake of the group and the business in general.

It is a great and priceless opportunity to commend the persistent and outstanding deeds of business leaders who exerted efforts and service for the business and the community.

An Intro Statements for Business Leaders

When one’s life is extended for universal good, blessings will easily fall like drops of rain. Everyone receives blessings but not everyone knows how to share them. Seldom are those whose virtue is for the common good;and seldom are those who leads yet still serves.

What comprises the real essence of business leadership is not only the business that everyone craves into, but merely the core of persons within the business. While everyone can start a business they want to, not everyone can stay a consistent track of business success.

Something which cannot be bought or measured with money is integrity. It holds all relationship together as well as the relationship of the leader and the led. It binds trust and respect needed in serving and leading a group as well as clients.

Leading one’s business with complete passion to innate beauty ultimately brings success. It is not just outside beauty and skill that matter in beauty industry; it has something to do with the innermost quality of the person.

Behind Beauty

When the creation of man took place, beauty comes along. Everyone owns beauty; beauty in different aspects of man. It only takes a person’s duty on how to hold, care and use it.

Beauty balances the world. It gives harmony to the nature and provides color to the world. It is broadly defined because it encompasses different facets. But what must consider when we speak of beauty are the two sides of it, inner and outer.

The description of being beautiful is often based on the combination of the inner and outer beauty, whether on an individual basis or by community consensus. Inner beauty includes psychological factors such as personality, intelligence, grace, and elegance while outer beauty includes physical factors, such as health, youthfulness, symmetry, averageness, and complexion.

Beauty opens door in making difference within a person and the whole community. It gives different perspective to everyone especially this day when beauty conscious era goes along the way.

I have seen life once more after the fall. I have known happiness again after the long agony and sorrow I have learned to trust for the second time after the betrayal of love I have felt love anew after the death of my heart.

A new world was laid A new life was given A new chance was offered A new love was shared.

Long are the prayers begged Long are the questions asked A long wait was encountered, but the prayers begged and the questions asked.. are now answered.

The Pit, Dapitan! A Valentine's Treat!

This is how i spend the Valentine's day! With my close friends at UST Graduate School. We are all Mathematics majors and we ate at The Pit, Dapitan, Manila. we enjoyed the food.It is so yummy! and The company as well.All laughing! It is really so fun being with these people. You are learning with them at the same time, you are enjoying! Thanks to you classmates! To name them, Stephen (blue ranger), April (yellow ranger), Jhen (White Ranger, Cris (red ranger, and of course me, Josh (Purple Ranger)!! This is how we name each other with our colorful outfit!Hehehe! Anyways, I suppose to wear the Pink one but pinalitan a po kanikanina lang, purple na!heheheh! Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!

Betis Church

The Betis Church. This is one of my favorite churches next to my town's church, the San Guillermo. I am just practising photography for my coming Media Project.This church is in Betis, Guagua Pampanga. The place is very famous with their wood carving industry and it is very evident with the wood carvings that you will see in this church. What makes it more attractive are the paitings on the ceilings and wall plus the beautiful retablo! It is a must see church!

San Guillermo Parish Church

This is the San Guillermo Parish Church at Cabambangan, Bacolor, Pampanga. Historically rich, the church was named after the hermit and sait, san Guillermo, and also to honor the founder of the town, Guillermo Manabat. It is said that the location of the church was donated by Guillermo Manabat which is also the same place where his mansion was located. Anyway, St. William is the English name of San Guillermo. It's feast day is celebrated every Feruary 10. I'll give you more information about the Parish Church next time. I've been busy the previous days. I' prepAred for our feast day and enjoyed it as well. What makes it more meaningful is that I celebrated it with the most important persons in my life, with my family, relatives and with dhie as well.It is so simple yet it is one of the precious moments in me. Find time to visit our place, our church! It is beautiful and inspiring.

I'm with Kitchie Nadal

Kitchie Nadal, had a show in our town this night. She is my look alike (daw) as many people says. Even in Bacolor when they saw us face to face. cant count those people who said, I look like her. Anyways, it is not my point now, first my goal is to have a picture with her, and it happened. then the bonus is, I had a chance to sing with her with one of her songs, Same Ground, which I often sing. I sang the chorus part of the song in front of many Bacolor people. And thanks God I did it well. it is my first tim to do it in public, and my first time to do it with a national singer, and it is Kitchie Nadal. I'll never forgt this moment. What saddened me, I wasn't able to get a video of us, singing together. anyways, the memories pay it all.mwah!

relationship doesn't have guarantees. it never assures you of forever. what makes me sad about it is to see the one you love leaving you. letting go is the last thing i always want to happen yet, it seems to be the always thing that happens to me. no matter how happy you are, no matter how firm you are, no matter how committed you are, there will always come a point that you have to let go, not for you to be happy, but for the one you love to be happy. there are things that you let to happen not because you want it, it is even against your will, yet you have to because you just simply want the best for the one you love. maybe being with you is not enough, because there are so much things you have to consider. what saddened me is the thought of distance, of the absence of presence. it is not because of lack of trust, but because of uncertainties. it is not because of lack of love but because of unknown fate. there are people who are around me, have felt my presence yet been able to forget me, what more to those people who are not with me? thess are the thoughts that make up my fears. it hurts to let go yet you have to. and if you will ask me? am i into this idea? i hope you know how to read between the lines.

i think i am excited on my photography project under Prof. Ramos! I've learned a lot last night though I am bit, or say much sleepy, because of the previous sleepless nights, but still, I was enligntened with the principles of photography. Freedom was taken for us to be together yet we never imprisoned ourselves on the chances of making us feel how much we love each other. we are free not because we were controlled. we are free because we let our selves free... we are free not because of suffocation, yet we are free for we let our heart's speak even though we are not together. we are free not because we failed to be together, but we are free because we let ourselves see each other despite of distance and other circumstances. we are free because we love we are free because we are one.

a love to last forever

it is not a fantasy or craziness to express how you feel. through expression, you can say, you are free.. you are real. you are true. No matter how odds keep on suffocating you, the only thing which is true is something that no one can ever ruin. what I have here are my words I had before and it always seem to be true even at this point.

Our story is my favorite story of my life. It is fast yet sweet. It is complicated yet strong. It is love and it deeply means its essence. It is a story which I thought I can only find in dreams. Its scenes contain a lot of excitements and memories to remember. Every part is a revelation and expression. And everything brings meaning to us and our story.

Our love is like a song that sweetly sings my favorite hymn. Its melody carries me to a place where only true happiness reigns. It is a song which I will never get tired of singing. It is something I’ll never get tired of listening. And If I’ll be given a chance to choose a song, I will always choose ours, for it is not only a song that accompany my life but a music that serenade my existence.

Our bond is God’s will. We lived a separate life, a little chance of meeting each path. We lived a life far different from each other. We lived our own life. But we lived with the same prayer that only God knows. It is God’s gracious and unique way of making our paths crossed. It is His perfect will of binding our hearts and makes it one. We are the answer of our own prayers: you for mine and me for yours. Your coming into my life is something I prayed to happen.

It is time to come home

the so long journey...will come to end.. its too tiring.. stressful... yet the journey is meaningful and full of realizations.... as the journey ends, a new beginning has about to start. No one knows what kind of journey has to come. No one knows, how it will strike you... But if all you bring in every step is a firm and defined faith, no tides can drown you..no waves can carry you... Life is not something to hate, it is something to love. Because it is a gift that you was given and all you have to do is make it bloom. after the long journey, it is time to come home. where your heart lives, where you find peace. An Astronaut in Nature

"there are only 2 kinds of human. we can be astronomers or astronauts..astronomers are those who are contented just seing the things that could make them happy....while.....astronauts want to trully feel what its's like to be with the things that could make them happy...." These are simply the words i had from a friend. Yes, she is right. I remember, when I am still a little child, I dreamt of going to the planets which I can only see on books. I still recall how fascinated I am with astronomy. I love learning about the heavenly bodies and everthing about universe. I also dreamt of reaching the moon. I dreamt of seeing the universe. I dreamt of being an astronaut. Yet, these were all simple dreams which today, I found realization. I dreamt of being an astronaut..but this simply defines me. On who I am. I am like the astronauts who wans to trully feel what it's like to be with the things that could make them happy rather than an astonomers who are just contented just seeing what could make them happy.

Heighten Love on the Month of Hearts

Here is my article last year about Valentine's day, which was not published. I thought of publishing it here since it is it's month.This article as I am reading it again, I have realized to live anew. To remove the hatred I have in my heart. To release the pain the suffocates me. Good thing, I have browsed this on my file.

We always find a reason why we keep on living; why we keep on striving; and why we keep on believing. Above anything that the world can offer us, we always have love. It is the life that gives life to life; the fire that keeps burning in every heart; and the river that keeps flowing even drought comes. Its mystery always reigns but remains undefined. It is a very important piece in our life’s puzzle which can only makes us complete. It is the only reason why life is worth living.

Love is too broad and it is limitless. Love is not only for two lovers. It is shared to everyone who shares an important part in our life; to a person we value so much. It is not only limited to those who did good things but also who in one way or another brings pain- for they bring spices to our life.

In our life’s journey, we have those people who have a great part and space in our life. They, who have gave us reason to feel happiness and to recognize success. They might be someone very special, our father, our mother, our brothers and sisters, our friends. Above everyone else, the only constant emotion is the love of God and thus, our hearts must always be filled with love for Him.

As our life became busy with the things that we prioritize, we may sometimes forget how to let our love ones know how much we love them. We might not be aware that we had hurt someone, or we had ignored the affection of people around us. But then, everyone finds time to celebrate the holiday of love every Valentine’s Day. It is a time to freed our emotions; to shatters love; and to sincerely share it.

Why Valentine’s Day?

When we speak of Valentine’s Day, one thing will come in one’s mind is the day of love. Today, it becomes a very special day for everyone who wants to share their feelings as well as an opportunity to let everyone know how they feel. It is also a day where people make others feel special.

Everyone might know how to celebrate this special day but most probably, everyone doesn’t know the story behind this joyous and warming celebration. There are varying opinions and stories as to the origin of the Valentine’s Day. Valentine is a saint. In the Catholic encyclopedia, there were at least three early Christian saints by this name; one was a priest in Rome, another is a bishop in Terni and the third St. Valentine whom almost nothing is known except that died in Africa. Astonishingly, all these three Valentines were said to have been martyred on February 14.

The story of St. Valentine of Rome served as priest at the temple during the reign of Emperor Claudius II where Christianity was a new religion that time. Under his empire, Rome was involved in many bloody and unpopular campaigns. Claudius got difficulty in getting soldiers to join his military colleagues and he believed that it is because men do not want to leave their love ones and families. With this, he cancelled all marriages and engagements in Rome. Valentine defied the Emperor's decree and secretly married the young couples. He was eventually arrested, imprisoned, and put to death. He was condemned to be beaten to death with clubs and to have his head cut off.

Valentine was died on February 14th about the year 270 AD, the eve of the Roman holiday Lupercalia. On these occasions, amidst a variety of pagan ceremonies, the names of young women were placed in a box, from which they were drawn by the men as chance directed. Each young man would draw a girl's name from the jar and would then be partners for the duration of the festival with the girl whom he chose. Sometimes the pairing of the children lasted an entire year, and often, they would fall in love and would later marry. In ancient Rome, February 14th was also a holiday to honor Juno, the Queen of the Roman Gods and Goddesses who was known as the Goddess of women and marriage. As Rome became more Christian, the priests moved the spring holiday from the 15th of February to the 14th - Valentine's Day. Now the holiday honored Saint Valentine instead of Lupercalia.

The history of Valentine’s Day shows us how St. Valentine made two lovers bonded their love for each other despite of the selfish rules of the Emperor- a love that conquers all even death. February 14 became the date for exchanging love messages and St. Valentine became the patron saint of lovers Valentines Day is a day to express our love, and to celebrate the spirit of love. It is the perfect time to express what our heart feels. Valentine’ Day is not only for two distinct lovers but it is for all; to all who loved, who loves and will remain loving. It is a day of making our emotions fills other’s heart.

Usually, we celebrate this by giving flowers, cards and gifts just to express our love and how much we value our love ones. It is also sometimes celebrated in parties, outings, dates and balls. There are different ways on how to celebrate Valentine’s Day but one thing that everyone should always remember about this. The best way on how to celebrate Valentine’s Day is by simply saying how much you love your love ones, sincerely and wholeheartedly. And it is always felt if we leave every day with love in our hearts, free from hatred and in God’s grace. Let us not forget that love is not only celebrated during Valentine’s Day, it must live forever, as St. Valentine and our God Almighty would want us to do.

Pearl of the Orient goes Global!

Long are the days when Filipinos aren’t heard and known. Long are the times when Filipinos are slaved for more than three hundred years of vindictive colonization. Long are the years when Filipinos’ boundaries lie within the corners of 7,101 islands of the archipelago. Gone are those obscure nights when darkness fills the country for the bright and lucid days for Filipinos had arrived and proved to the whole world that Filipinos, know no boundaries!

Struggling, conquering, soaring—these exactly define them. They are known for their defined merit for democracy that once revealed their voices and stand. Remember how Filipino people made history by making a stand? Remember the first ever EDSA Revolution? People boldly expressed their convictions against the tyranny of dictatorship, not withstanding the danger of facing them. It is the first of its kind where people had made a stand and they stood firm by their belief. This event will forever be in the history books and never will it die, for it embodies the true Filipino spirit alive in every individual Filipino.

Filipinos nowadays are known in various fields they are inclined to. They are competitively acknowledged and recognized with their exceptional skills and intelligence that continuously marking names and legends globally.

Who would have questioned the talents of Filipino in terms of sports? Look how far Filipino athletes constantly soar in their respective field. In boxing, Philippines had produced Filipino world boxing champions. Two of the four Asians enshrined in the New York-based International Boxing Hall of Fame were Filipinos, namely: Pancho Villa in the old-timer category and Gabriel "Flash" Elorde in the modern category. Manny Pacquiao have beaten and still beating the Mexico’s boxing tiger and have gained numerous WBC titles. Paeng Nepomunuceno and Bong Coo are just examples of the country’s known bowlers who have been included in the International Bowling Hall of Fame. Billiards is a consistent source of pride for Filipino sports aficionados. Filipinos like Efren “Bata” Reyes and Francisco Bustamante are some of the many billiard artists who have proven everyone that they are among the world’s best that have played the game. Who would forget the Asia’s fastest woman? Lydia de Vega is also one of the respectable athletes that Philippines ever had. There are still a lot of sports where Filipinos have bagged global recognition; something that uplifts Philippine pride.

Filipinos are talented and world class artists and performers who have won international competitions and even become a part of various world class groups. Nothing had stopped Lea Salonga in invading the Broadway as she plays the role of Kim in Ms. Saigon. Many cheered to Allan Pineda of Black Eyed Peas. Many were enchanted with the voice and beauty of Nicole Scherzinger of Pussycat dolls. They are just some Filipinos who are well known in the international music industry. Filipino actors and actresses are also conquering the international entertainment having been starred some Hollywood and Asian movies. When it comes to beauty, talent and intelligence, Filipinos enthralled the whole world as they are crowned with various international beauty titles. Best examples are Miss Universe 1968 Gloria Diaz and First Runner -up Miss Universe 1999 Miriam Quiambao who had outsmarted the women of different nationalities.

Filipinos are now equipped with the updates of the fast developing technology. Filipino scientists have produced world known inventions. Agapito Flores is the inventor of the first fluorescent lamp which is the most widely used source of lighting in the world today. International Pediatric Association awardee, Fe del Mundo is the first Asian to have entered the prestigious Harvard University School of Medicine is credited for her studies that led to the invention of incubator and jaundice relieving device. Just last year, Sinag, the Philippines First Solar Car, joined the World Solar Challenge 2007 in Australia surviving the 2000 KM race. Such are only few examples of world renowned achievements of Filipinos.

Enumerating all the achievers and the globally competitive Filipinos will never be enough without recognizing the modern Filipino heroes, the Overseas Filipino Workers. Go around the globe and there will find Filipinos serving not just their country but also the world. Filipino nurses conquer the world with their tender care and services. Come to United States and find many Filipino businessmen topping the business industry. In fact, Filipino-Americans are the second largest Asian-American group in the United States next to Chinese while they are the largest from the Southeast Asia.

After all the succumbing threats, wars, trials and ruins that Philippines have encountered, Filipinos keep on battling the world’s challenge, surpassing and even winning them. The history have made defined difference among the lives of the Filipinos and now, Filipinos will continue making difference not just for its nation, not in Asia, but in the whole globe. Once, the country was named as “Pearl of the Orient” but now, the test of time have proven that Philippines is not just a pearl that lies in the orient but a pearl that shines around the world. It is indeed more befitting to be a “global pearl.” Who are Filipinos now?-- Globally competitive!
